Directions to Issaquah Alps Trail Center: Take I-90 Exit 17 and turn right. Go about one mile to light on Sunset, and then go two more blocks to Bush Street and turn left. Go two blocks and you will see the yellow Trail Center building and parking area on your left. Hike via grassy, gated roads and the un-maintained Christoff Peak Trail #1171 to an old, abandoned fire lookout site on Huckleberry Mountain. The trail, while still in good shape, is very steep at times. This site is on the Olympia Branch’s Lookout Awards list. Meet at 8:30 am at the Issaquah Trail Center or 9:30 AM at Charlie’s in Enumclaw. (100 miles roundtrip drive to the trailhead from ITC or 40 miles from Charlie’s). No registration, members only.
