Chehalis River Surge Plain Trail (E) 8 mi. No map needed. The Chehalis River Surge Plain Natural Area Preserve supports healthy Sitka spruce dominated wetlands laced with saltwater influenced slough channels. We will walk from Preachers Slough Rd just S of Montesano to the Blue Slough access along the Chehalis River . The flat hike is on an old logging RR bed.
