Jan. 16, Sat. - Chehalis River Surge Plain Trail (E) (no map needed) 7 mi., no gain. The Chehalis River Surge Plain Natural Area Preserve encompasses wetlands flanking the lower Chehalis River, within the influence of tide waters. The trail is a converted railroad grade, with several interpretive signs, level and with good drainage (as long as the river is not in flood).
