Day Hike - Chambers Bay Golf Course Trail
Weighted Wednesday- This 5:30 pm evening hike activity supports weight carry training for upcoming backpacks. All hikers or backpackers are welcome. Each hike begins with stretch and warm-up. 10Es required, boots (hiking shoes), trekking poles highly recommended.

We will be doing what I call "The Saddle" which will involve going down the south hill toward the meadow and then up the north hill, catch our breath and go back down the north hill, and back up the south hill to our starting point. If we have the time and the stamina we might even go up and down the south hill one more time! I will be encouraging people to stay on dirt as much as possible to simulate trail conditions. I only listed it as moderate because I have no idea how much weight you are going to put in your pack! We will go at a 2mph to 2.2mph pace, work up a good sweat and have a lot of fun!
Welcome to Weighted Wednesdays-a social way to get in some mid-week training. Each week we will demo some strength exercises as well as find some hills and stairs to climb with weighted backpacks. The purpose is to gradually train your body to carry your full backpack weight. This is also a great opportunity to try out new gear!
