Let's group at Mountaineers Baker Lodge parking lot at 9AM. To avoid long drive on the day of the hike, I plan to drive up on Fri evening and stay the night at the volunteers run Mountaineers Baker Lodge. Nestled in the trees behind Picture Lak, lodge is a gem of a place at 5200 feet elevation with views from every room, fresh cooked hearty meals, hot coffee, and hot showers at very reasonable cost.  Also check out Ptarmigan Ridge and Skyline Divide hikes scheduled on Fri and Sun by another leader.

Bring your camera for all the magnificent views of Mt Baker, Mt Shuksan, Table Mountain, and Ptarmigan Ridge, as well as pristine alpine lakes. And bring a ziplock bag for blue berries and huckleberries. This hike is intended to be at a social pace where we can mingle and take pictures. Pics from this hike last summer

If you plan to stay at Baker Lodge, please make your reservation by at least three days prior to the weekend for volunteer hosts to plan for fresh food to take it up to the lodge. You can make lodge reservations at There's also a work-party going on at the lodge that weekend.
