Day Hike - Cascade Pass & Sahale Arm

An incredible, but very strenuous one day hike up to a beautiful view of Sahale Mountain and Glacier. (Rescheduled from July 8th due to extreme snow conditions still on the trail.)

  • Very Strenuous
  • Challenging
  • Mileage: 14.0 mi
  • Elevation Gain: 4,600 ft

Meet at Marblemount Ranger Station, 7280 Ranger Station Rd., Marblemount, WA 98267, at 7:00 AM.  I will likely spend the prior night at a nearby campground for those interested.

This will be a one day hike, if possible, going all the way up to the Sahale Glacier Camp.  It is going to be a 12 - 15 mile day, 4200 to 4600 feet of elevation gain (if we make it up to the camp from Sahale Arm.  We will be moving at a moderate to pace.  Hikers need to be in shape and ready for a really long, hard day, but with incredible views.  We will also need to share the load for some additional items, such as water filters and a stove.

Due to the distance and pace we will need to make, I'm requesting all applicants please send me a list of recent hikes, scrambles or climbs (or other activities) that you completed in the last year and demonstrate your ability to do a hike of this difficulty.
