Day Hike - Camp Long

The hike starts at Camp Long , connects with and proceeding on the Longfellow Creek trail ,and destination Fox Hill Park. This is a historic and scenic hike including the Mountaineers instruction sites at Schurman Rock and the Glacier .

We will meet at the  Camp Long Parking at  9:00 am . There will be a carpool  location at Green Lake Park and Ride , North of 65th under the Freeway in Seattle. I plan to arrive there at 8:15 am and leave at 8:30 am to the trail head. I drive a White Escape and can take four hikers. The hikers driving directly to the trail head  take I- 5  South to Exit 163A , then continue West on Spokane Street Viaduct to West Seattle Bridge for 2.7 miles . When you come to a traffic light , turn left onto 35th Avenue SW and drive .6 mile South .Then turn left onto SW Dawson Street and continue a couple hundred feet to Camp Long and parking. There  are restrooms in the Camp Long Administration Building and across the Street from Foxhill Park in a shopping area , McDonalds and Starbucks .
