This hike is actually a bit different from the Mountaineers template description.  The first 2.5 miles are on a fairly steep forest trail.  Then we transition to a (mostly flat or mild grade) forest service road to take us the remaining 2 miles to the summit.  There is about 100 yards of bushwacking at the end.  if the weather is clear, we will get a great 360 degree view of the area, including Dabob bay/Hood canal, Mt. Walker, and the Olympics in the distance.
