Day Hike - Bridal Veil Falls & Lake Serene

Let's explore a "100 Washington Classics hike." Impressive Bridal Veil Falls, and the high, austere ridges of Index crags surround stunning blue Lake Senere.

  • Moderate/Strenuous
  • Moderate
  • Mileage: 8.5 mi
  • Elevation Gain: 2,200 ft
  • High Point Elevation: 2,500 ft
  • Pace: 2.25 average moving pace

The falls are full, and the trail reports indicate most of the snow and ice is gone from the trail until you arrive at the lake. Some blowdowns are present; at least one was significant but passable.

We'll lunch at the lake, on "lunch rock" if available/safe.

My Style: Welcome & thanks for finding me here and sharing the outdoors. I thrive in nature and hope you do too! I love creating and leading hikes where we move at a good pace (with “joy stops”) while experiencing what hiking is all about – enjoying Nature’s offerings and surprises together. My primary role is to facilitate a safe experience physically and mentally, so I take that seriously.  For me, the best hikes are those where we each contribute to the experience by sharing knowledge, humor, or quietly engaging.

I look forward to seeing you on the trail if this sounds like a fit for you!

My Expectations: 1) arrive personally prepared & conditioned, 2) adopt a visitor mindset, and 3) create harmonious vibes.
