This leader is also hosting a trip the day before, Thursday 8/27 to Scorpion Mountain (see posting). Participants may do one or both and/or car camp Thursday night with leader and others at nearby Troublesome Creek or San Juan (back-up) Forest Service car campgrounds.
Leader's Permission required. You need to demonstrate proper conditioning for this challenging hike. Please list hike(s) you have done this season that are about 3000' in elevation gain.
This is a Phase 2 trip and we will abide by all Mountaineers' Covid-19 protocol. All participants are required to bring cloth face coverings and wear them when within 6' of others on the trail and at optional car campground. All participants must bring hand sanitizer or biodegradable soap and each must attest on the day of the trip that they do not have Covid-19 symptoms or been in contact with someone that has these symptoms.
