Blanca Lake is set in a large cirque in the rugged Monte Cristo peaks and fed by the Columbia Glacier and icy snowfields on the surrounding slopes.

A Northwest Forest Pass or National Forest Recreation Day Pass is required to park at the trailhead.
Please be prepared for a hiking pace of ~2mph to Blanca Lake.
