Day Hike - Black Canyon (Umtanum Ridge)

Black Canyon features a wide range of habitats including desert, riparian, rock outcrops and high ridge. Wildflowers and varied and plentiful, the way is well graded, the views are splendid and the road in is short but nasty. It's worth it, as is the long drive. We bird along the way at several stops in varied habitats.
