A great hike for bird-watching and for springtime high-desert bloom appreciation. Elk, deer, and perhaps even a rattlesnake may be seen; Ponderosa and White Pine stands and fine views from Umtanum Ridge. Discovery Pass required. Described in Best Desert Hikes and Best Wildflower Hikes guidebooks.
