Day Hike - Big Creek Loop

PREFERENCE TO OLYMPIA BRANCH CONDITIONING HIKING SERIES PARTICIPANTS. Trip may open to general membership at leader discretion.

We will meet at 7:30 AM at Haggen Foods, 1313 Cooper Point  Road in Olympia.    I will be driving a gold Acura RL. Please have you carpool arrangements before hand. Take 101 S until you come to an exit for Shelton.  Continue to Hoodsport. Look for a forest service sign Cushman-Staircase (road 119)  on the right and turn left there. Follow 119 around  the lake for 9 miles. This road makes a left turn at the "T". Turn left, then right into Big Creek  Campground, which will be open.  You can park outside the  gate. Each car needs to display a Northwest Forest Pass or National Park Pass.

ESTIMATED COST: The Mountaineers mileage reimbursement policy is $0.14 per mile.
