This hike is part of the Conservation Executive Committee's series of field trips to crucial ecological sites in our area as part of the committee's efforts to reach out to members and their families and increase environmental awareness.

This is a family-orientated, easy hike to Barclay Lake near the proposed Wild Sky Wilderness off Highway 2 on Earth Day, Saturday, April 22nd. Harry Romberg, chair of Forest Watch; Mike Shurgot, chair of Conservation Executive Committee; Tim Newcomb, an expert on energy; and Denice Carnahan, who suggested this activity, will lead this hike.

Meet at the Park & Ride lot on NE 65th and I-5 at 9 a.m. Bring lunches and rain gear, just in case.
