Moderate day hike along the Baker River from the north end of Baker Lake

Leave at 9am from the Chuckanut Park&Ride at I-5 Exit 231

Relatively flat and firm trail following the west side of the Baker River for just shy of three miles. Old growth forest of cedar, maple, alder and birch. Many views of the river and surrounding mountains. Last four miles to trailhead is lightly potholed gravel. Privy at trailhead. A half dozen or so small stream crossings.
