Cedar and Grove Park and Ride 72nd St and Cedar Ave, Marysville 98270 at 7:00 AM. Northwest Forest Pass required at the trailhead.

The hike will start at the south end of Baker Lake and end at Maple Grove. There are cascading creeks that should be easy to cross this time of year. One of the creeks has a log bridge over it. We can also check out the campsites at Anderson Point for future backpack trips. On a clear day Mt Baker should make an appearance with a beautiful blue sky background. Check out the WTA link for a trail description and picture of Mt Baker.  https://www.wta.org/go-hiking/hikes/baker-lake-maple-grove

This will be a slow paced hike. There will be time for rest breaks, pictures, and time to look at flowers, trees, mushrooms, or anything else interesting. It's not the destination, it's the journey. If you can't hike slow, you may be happier on a different hike.

Plan on stopping after the hike for a bite to eat at Birdsview Brewing Company.
