Day Hike - Bainbridge Island Beaches & Interior

Navigation refresher and evaluation of connector route Fort Ward to Port Blakely Harbor with optional additional mileage in other parks on Bainbridge Island. Preference on sign-ups to current hike leaders and mentored hike leaders.

 This will be a flexibly paced hike so that there is time to evaluate the route for potential inclusion on the Bainbridge Island listed hike options.  We'll also be on the lookout for wildlife and interesting plants.   After completing this hike, depending on the group, there will be options for other shorter routes to tag on additional mileage.     

Please be prepared for all weather and depending on your comfort level, feel free to bring trekking poles.  And if you plan on being out past the listed trip, please consider bringing your lunch or snacks.   

Meet at 9:00 AM at Fort Ward trailhead. No passes required for parking.
