Go to this link for more information about the Lava Tubes: http://vulcan.wr.usgs.gov/Volcanoes/MSH/NatMonument/PointsInterest/ape_cave.html We will drive and camp at Lower Falls campground on Friday and car camp. On Saturday we will hike the through the upper lava tubes. Temperature in the tube is 42 degrees year round, so dress warmly. Bring 3 light sources (at least one of them a head lamp) per person and batteries. Wear gloves as we will be scrambling over rock piles. Following the hike we will return to Lower Falls campground and spend a second night and make the return drive on Sunday.
