While waiting for the snow on the trails in the North Cascades to melt, let's visit some lakes in the Babcock Ridge area in Eastern Washington. This trip promises great views of massive basalt cliffs and lakes. This hike offers something we seldom find in the desert: a waterfall that plunges into a lake. We may see late spring flowers on the desert. There will be a lot of photo opps on this hike. Camping on Saturday night is optional. Washington Department of Fisheries and Wildlife annual vehicle permit required.
