Meet at the Nordic Center at White Pass (follow the signs). Get there early as parking fills up fast, to rent gear and purchase your day pass.

We will meet a 0900 sharp near the ski racks by the first Yurt. Be suited up and ready to go with beverages snacks and ski gear.

No parking permit required.

Day use pass is not set yet, but typically is $25 or so.

Our goals are to have fun, be safe and stay together. This is not a trip for beginners. My style is to lead from the middle or behind to make sure everyone is ok and get a chance to encourage conversations and new skiing friends are having fun.

Participants must be able to maintain a continuous pace of 3.5 miles per hour. We will stop for laying clothes as needed and once an hour for snacks, beverage or to catch our breath. Participants must be able to ski what the Mountaineers consider a strenuous pace on intermediate (Blue) and advanced (Black) trails. Must have an efficient diagonal stride, herring bone technique, side step and wedge turn. Must have a solid snow plow and be able to stop and stay in control going downhill at all times. Must be comfortable with skiing up and down hills on a variety of trails.

We typically ski up from the lake to the Dark Meadows trail and back down to the Yurt for lunch and then go out again. Depending upon the group, we may ski the Upper Meadows loops (challenging) and we may split the group in two.

If you are not a graduate of a Mountain XC  course with  the badge, the leaders may consider you.

ALL participants require Leader Permission: complete the field listed below.

Leader MAY CONSIDER skate skiers, provided a Leader or approved other skate skier is available AND skate skiers stop at all trail junctions to wait for the main group.
