9:00am, Nason Sno Park, groomed sticker and Sno Park pass required of all drivers

The full Nason Ridge loop is only groomed on weekends, so let's get out and enjoy the (hopefully) great end-of-season snowpack.  This loop has some steep climbs and some steep descents, so lots of ski endurance and solid snowplow skills are needed, putting it in my opinion well beyond the N2 rating given by the Club's database.  For example, it is tougher than the trip to Amabilis.  Nonetheless, the views and sense of satisfaction from this trip are things that pull me back to the area again and again.

From the Nason Ridge/ Kahler Glen SnoPark (groomed SnoPark sticker required), we will head out on the clockwise lollipop loop.  See attached pdf map for details:

Leader will be skiing on classic equipment.  Skate skiers are welcome, but should have super strong legs due to the topography here, and should be patient to wait for us classic skiers.

Leader permission for (1) whether you plan to classic or skate ski, (2) tell me what other equivalent XC ski trips you did last winter and plan to do this winter, and (3) if interested in carpooling or not.  For all carpoolers, I will ask for a copy of your vaccination card which indicates being fully vaccinated or boosted WITHIN the six months prior to our trip. Given the length of the drive and our ski, we will hopefully be able to carpool.  If Stevens Pass is “chains required” that day, trip will be canceled.

1/21/22 update: Leader has secured lodging near Lake Wenatchee, so will not be personally involved in carpooling, but can help as needed in coordinating that among interested participants.
