Snow is expected at the mountain this week, hopefully it will materialize. Cold creek trail and the upper Snoqualmie Nordic usually are groomed on Friday. Besides, Friday forecast looks at this point the best for this week.
We will park at Hyak Sno-Park, but our ski trip will include the upper Nordic trails which required you to have either a day ticket or a season pass. For those who do not have a Nordic season pass you can purchase a day pass. Since the office is not open until 9:00 AM, you can pick up your ticket after the trip.
Here is the Nordic trail map.
We will start at Hyak Sno-Park and use the connector trail to Cold Creek trail (17). We will ski SW on Cold Creek and up Hidden Valley (16). Then take the Outer Loop (14F) to Grand Junction hut. We will have lunch at the hut. From Grand Junction it is mostly down on Ripsaw (7) and Cold Creek (17) trail back to the connector trail.
We will have several breaks going up and down. Skate ski is not recommended. Grooming status or Nordic trail can be found in Nordic Pulse app or here
Meet at Hyak Sno-Park at 9:00 AM
