We will explore some of the upper trails of the Summit Nordic Center. This trip is classified as N3. We may take a chair lift to the top or ski up Hidden Valley that includes a steep section and ski back round to the Hyak Nordic Center by the Mt. Catherine Loop.

This trail involves some quite strenuous climbs and steep descents. We will explore some of the extensive upper trails system. The route selected will depend of the snow and weather conditions on the day. This is an N3 trip requiring good up and downhill ski technique. Either classic non-wax skis or skate skis are required.

TRAILS PASSES AND EQUIPMENT RENTAL This trip will involve buying a Summit Nordic trail day pass for $20 ($2 reduction for seniors 62 years and over and free for 70 and above). The pass includes use of the chair lift at Hyak or Silver Fir. You may carpool from Preston P&R; meeting at 8:30 am or meet us at the Hyak Nordic Center lodge at 9:30 am. Directions will be provided several days prior to the trip.
