The official meeting place is the East Sunset Trailhead parking lot in Issaquah at 9:00 AM. It is 100 yards south of I-90 at exit #18. The address is 665 E Sunset Way, Issaquah, WA. We can carpool from there to the trailhead.
If you are coming up SR-18, we can meet you in North Bend. Contact me right before the trip to arrange this.

2/5: Ended up going to Lake Easton and Cabin Creek.

This will be an N1 type trip that will be suitable to folks that have not nordic skied much or not for awhile. The pace will be set accordingly. If no beginners sign-up, the pace and distance will be increased.

We will most likely ski the Erling Stordahl trails at the Crystal Springs snopark and the Cascade To Palouse trail. However, if the conditions / weather are good, we might at first go to Lake Easton state park, ski those trails then drive to Crystal Springs or Cabin Creek in the afternoon. If the road conditions are poor, we might just go to Hyak. We will make these decisions that morning.

The trip limit is set to just 4 people including myself. I can drive. Due to the small size group, please try to avoid canceling at the last minute (unless the date changes, then it is reasonable to cancel if you have a conflict).

Please bring a small pack with a rain jacket/pants, warm hat and warm gloves, snack and water. You don’t need to bring a big pack with the sort of stuff we bring on long wilderness hikes. Most likely we will come back to the car for lunch.

In the event of a forecast for lousy weather on Tuesday, this trip might be postponed until later in the week, (likely Thursday) OR changed to a Tiger / Squak / Cougar area HIKE OR maybe both of those.
I will notify everybody by email by Sunday evening if I decide to make that change. Email me your suggestions on Sunday if you want some input in the decision.
By signing up for this trip, you agree to this flexibility
