Meet at the Kahler Glen/ Nason Ridge Sno Park in Leavenworth at 10:00 am  Nason-Ridge-PDF (state.wa.us)

Leader will already be in the area, so will not be facilitating carpooling.  Participants are encouraged to contact others on the list if they wish to share a ride.   Please note, it is approximately 2 1/2 - 3 hr drive from Seattle, and you will need to cross either Stevens Pass or Snoqualmie and Blewett Passes, so will need a vehicle able to drive in snowy conditions.  A SnoPark Pass with Groomed trails sticker is needed to park and needs to be purchased ahead of time.

Adults and youths with a parent are welcome.

Part of the trail is rated "easy" but some sections are rated "more difficult".  There will be  some hills that require herringbone and snowplow skills to navigate. This is not suitable for beginning cross-country skiers.

These trails will typically be groomed Thursday through Monday, but Tuesday looks to be clear and should be good skiing with all the fresh snow over the weekend.

We will explore the 6.1 K trails in the Kahler Glen area  with  great views and the The South Lake Wenatchee  9.3 k of trails which include a series of 1-3 km loops and longer runs through forest and along lakeshore.  Kahler and the South are double tracked with a center skate lane.

We will plan to ski for about 4 hours, pausing for a  lunch stop, and finish around 2pm so participants can travel home.
