Cross-country Ski - Copper Creek Hut
Newer skiers welcome. Mt. Tahoma Trail System is an outstanding place to practice fundamentals. We'll aim for Copper Creek hut but the focus will be a safe, enjoyable outing supportive of those new to the sport.

Preliminary Logistical Plan: If you are coming from Tacoma or further north, please meet at the north end (by McDonalds) of the I5/SR-512 Park & Ride in Lakewood Washington at 7:15 a.m. on February 16th. From there we'll proceed to our second rendezvous point - the Bud Blacncher Trailhead Parking lot in Eatonville. This will be where we connect with participants coming from Olympia or places fruther south. We'll meet at the Bud Blancher parking lot at 8:00. From there we'll proceed to the North Mt. Tahoma Trail System Sno-park, intending to arrive there at or before 9:00 a.m. We will allow 3 hours to cover the 4.2 miles to the hut. We'll allow for an hour warming and eating lunch in the hut. Then we'll allow 2 hours to return to the Sno Park. So we'll depart the Sno Park for home around 3:00 p.m.
