  • Moderate
  • Mileage: 9.0 mi
  • Elevation Gain: 200 ft
  • Pace: 3 mph

We will meet Saturday, January 9th, at 8:00 am in the Cabin Creek Sno Park parking lot at Exit 63 off of I-9. Arriving early allows for parking your car in the first parking lot and seeing fewer skiers on the trails.

SNO-Park Parking Permit Required

A WA State Seasonal Non Motorized Permit/Special Groomed Sticker Combo is required for each vehicle we take to the trailhead. The pass must be obtained in advance. It cannot be purchased at Cabin Creek. Non-motorized day and season SNO-Park passes can be purchased ahead of time at REI (bring in your car license plate number with you/take a phone picture)) or ordered on-line from:

This is an intermediate classic ski. We will keep a steady intermediate glide and pace on the flatter sections of the trail, I will be a bit slower on the uphills, and faster on the downhills.

My plan is to warm up on the easy green Road Trail, then ski the Viking and Berg Trails, and finish up with one more tour of the Road Trail.  Approximately a 9 mile ski with a duration of less than 3 hours. We should be back to the car to eat lunch at home. We will have water and snack on the trail.

Sign up for this trip if you ski at an intermediate pace, know how to ski up hills using the herringbone walk and are comfortable skiing down hills.
