Meet at the North Bend Public Parking lot (the S.E. corner of North Bend Way and E. McClellan St. -Across from North Bend Motel) for carpooling at 8:00am. Snow Park Pass with Groomed trail sticker required for parking at trailhead, and must be purchased in advance (can buy in North Bend). Taking everyone who signs up will be dependent on enough drivers with suitable vehicles for winter snow conditions volunteering.
We will drive to the Cabin Creek Snow Park area and explore the lower trails, which are rated advanced basic/intermediate. There are some hills that require the ability to herringbone up and use a wedge/snowplow position for descents. Nordic Classic no-wax skis are recommended, but skate skis also an option. Bring a lunch and weather proof pad to sit on. Will plan to ski about 4-5 hours, should be back to North Bend around 3pm.
