We will hope to explore about 10 miles of groomed trails. Conditions can vary depending snow, temperature and how recently the trails have been groomed. Trails include the Viking Course that involves hills. This trip is classified as an N2 as the hills on the Viking Course require the ability to herringbone up and use a wedge/snowplow position and wedge turns for descents.

This trip is not suitable as a first time Nordic ski, even if you have Alpine ski experience. Nordic Classic no-wax skis are recommended. Please consult the leader if you wish to use other types of ski.

You have the option to car pool from the Preston P&R; meeting at 8:45 am or meet us at Cabin Creek Snopark at 9.45 am. Directions will be provided a few days before the trip. All vehicles taken to the trailhead will require WA Snopark Permits with groomed slickers. Day passes cannot be purchased at this snopark. Taking everyone who signs up will be dependent on enough drivers with suitable vehicles for winter snow conditions volunteering.
