Cross-country Ski - Anthony Lakes Nordic Center

18 mi groomed, classic & skate. 7100' base! Great skiing conditions, usually better than Cascades!

Nordic trail pass fee/day:  $15/adults <70; free for adults 70 & over.   Ski full days Friday and Saturday; half to full day on Sunday. Oregon Sno-Park pass required (purchase info: https://www.tripcheck.com/Pages/Sno-Parks-Permits )

Groomed trails N1-N4.  up to 10 miles/day.  Leisurely to moderate pace.

Members only, with classic nordic skiing experience.  Trip will be open to Mountaineers and Chemeketans.  This trip is not appropriate for first time skiers.    Groomed skate skiing also available.   Lessons available at nordic center.

Initial trip limit is 6 persons; more spaces will be added based on demand and motel space. 

Groomed classic track or skate skiing up to 10 miles/day, on green/easy and blue/more difficult trails. 

Trail grooming is excellent, with double classic tracks and wide skating platform, beginner to advanced trails.  Enjoy cold, dry snow conditions most of season.  On the many clear days, see rewarding views of Gunsight Mountain, peaks of Elkhorn Ridge, and in northeast are Eagle Cap Peak and Eagle Cap Wilderness.

Member fee $120* includes 3 nights (Thurs-Sat) motel lodging, shared rooms (2-3/room); excludes nordic trail fees.   $35/day additional fee required for single person room requests.  If you wish to stay additional nights (Wed or Mon), reserve own room at North Powder Motel for each night.   * Non-members who belong to outdoor clubs with reciprocal rate agreements with the Mountaineers may participate at member rates.

Cancellation fee:  $50 if 3 days or more notice; $50 to total nonrecoverable lodging costs if less than 3 days notice.  Cancellation fee may be waived or reduced if replacement for your space.

We'll have one large unit with fully equipped kitchen and cookware.  Other rooms will have microwave and small fridge. 
Meals:  Provide your own breakfast, lunches, dinners (options follow).                      We'll plan for a potluck dinner one evening.  For other meals, bring your own foods (no local grocer).  Dinners DIY in your room or large unit, or local cafe.   

Anthony Lakes Nordic Center is open Thursday - Sunday through early April; with limited schedule during December.
