Carpool option from Vancouver, WA - meet 12noon Friday to carpool with leader

Members only, with classic nordic skiing experience.  This trip is not appropriate for beginners or first time skiers.    Groomed skate skiing also available.

Groomed classic track or skate skiing up to 10 miles/day, on green/easy and blue/more difficult trails.  Join the group for day skiing on Saturday 3/17 only, and if interested both weekend days, sign up separately for the Sunday 3/18 ski activity. 

Trail grooming is excellent, with double classic tracks and wide skating platform, beginner to advanced trails.  Enjoy cold, dry snow conditions most of season.  On the many clear days, see rewarding views of Gunsight Mountain, peaks of Elkhorn Ridge, and in northeast are Eagle Cap Peak and Eagle Cap Wilderness.

Day pass fees:  $13, or FREE (age 70 and over).  No parking pass fees.

Overnight lodging optional if nordic skiing 1-2 days.  Participants are responsible for reserving own lodging in North Powder or Baker City.  Leader will be staying at North Powder Motel (rooms available as of 3/12), Friday and Saturday evenings.

Upcoming event (fair ski/weather forecast):   Sunday March 25, 2018, is Anthony Lakes’ newest event, the TASTE OF NORDIC & POKER SKI. Back by popular demand, the Taste of Nordic is a family-friendly event, open to everyone. Participants ski the Nordic System, while enjoying local craft eats and drinks along the way. Skiers have the option to collect a poker hand too. This event is one not to miss!
