Meeting time/place is TBD.  

This is for Jeff's Mentor Group.  Leader permission required before signup.

During this outing, we will:

  • Learn to build anchors: cordelette, equalelette, three point quad, and with rope-only.
  • Learn to place pro on lead (mock lead or on lead if sufficiently skilled).
  • Learn crack climbing techniques.
  • Review extended rappel

We will all camp at a group site so bring firewood and food/drink to share.

  • Active protection (e.g. 1 set of Black Diamond cams, size 0.4 to 3 or equivalent camalots)
  • Alpine draws (e.g. 6 sewn runners with 12 wiregate carabiners)
  • Belay device like Black Diamond ATC Guide or Petzl Reverso
