Washington State climbing tradition dictates that we head out to eastern Washington in the spring to soak up some sun (hopefully) and climb some basalt.  If you are a confident leader on low-5th+ class rock, join me!

  • Passive protection (e.g. 1 set of nuts)
  • Active protection (e.g. 1 set of Black Diamond cams, size 0.4 to 3 or equivalent camalots)
  • BD Camelot #4 if you've got one.
  • Alpine draws (e.g. 6 sewn runners with 12 wiregate carabiners)
  • Quick Draws (e.g. 8 - 12 "sport" draws)
  • Self-braking belay device like Black Diamond ATC Guide or Petzl Reverso
