This weekend is about projecting trad routes that are harder than your on-site climbing ability. Applicants should be active volunteers in the Mountaineers and comfortable on-site leading 5.6-5.8 trad.  Our goal is to get folks on a route above their on-site grade and help them progress.  Brief application required. Applications will be accepted until May 31 @ 5PM:

  • Active protection (e.g. 1 set of Black Diamond cams, size 0.4 to 3 or equivalent camalots)
  • Alpine draws (e.g. 6 sewn runners with 12 wiregate carabiners)
  • Self-braking belay device like Black Diamond ATC Guide or Petzl Reverso
