WE WILL HAVE ONE EVENING MEETING PRIOR TO THE TRIP FOR PLANNING PURPOSES, DATE AND TIME TBD BY THE GROUP ONCE WE HAVE COMPLETE REGISTRATION.  

Climbers will arrive in Las Vegas on Monday April 13th, climb on the 14th-16th, and return to Seattle on Friday the 17th.  

Itinerary Highlights:  3 full days of climbing trad, 7 canyons and hundreds of moderate routes to choose from!  Climb with a crag climb leader who will make certain you get to the base of your chosen route and safely climb the route as designed in the guidebook.  

Time of year:  APRIL 2015, to maximize the warm weather and long sunny days 

Lodging:  We'll be staying at the LaQuinta Inn on W. Sahara in Summerlin, 10 mins from the park entrance.  Climbers and leaders will share 2-queen rooms.  There is a hot tub and pool for your use in the evenings.  Rooms are spacious and clean, and provide a fridge for storing lunch food.  The hotel also provides a nice breakfast included in the room cost.   

Food:  Breakfast included in the room;  lunch items will be purchased by each climber at the grocery store after arriving in Red Rocks, and kept in the rooms; dinner will be at a moderately priced restaurant ($15-25pp).  Usual fare includes Thai, burgers, pizza, Italian, Mexican, etc. 

Leader’s experience: Leader has been climbing at Red Rocks for 10 years and has been the Mountaineers crag course leader for the past 5 years. LONIUCHYTIL@MSN.COM 

Participant requirements:  It is preferred  You be able to do some of the leading, so routes will be chosen based on each individual's ability.  The crag climb leader will be present to assure success on each route.  You MUST be able to follow up to 5.8 ideally minimum 5.6, lead belay experiance is a MUST.  You will be expected to be able to clean gear and rappel without assistance.

Trip Price Detail:  $430.  Includes 3 days of climbing, all transportation once in Red Rocks, Park pass fees, accommodations and breakfast.  Does not include each individual's transportation costs to Red Rocks, or their lunches or dinners while in Red Rocks.

Registration instructions:  The full trip price is due upon registration.  There will be no refunds after March 10 unless you can find someone to take your place.  The leaders' tickets must be purchased and hotel and car reservations made in advance so please be sure of your commitment before you register.
