PARTICIPANTS ARE EXPECTED TO LEAD. THE EASIEST CRACKS IN THE CREEK ARE  5.9. PLEASE DO NOT INQUIRE UNLESS YOU ARE ABLE TO DO YOUR FAIR SHARE OF LEADING.

We will meet Thursday, April 23 in the evening in Indian Creek near Hamburger Rock Campground. Exact location TBA.

Camping is rustic in Indian Creek. Most camping is on BLM land or at at very simple campsites. There is no running water in the creek, and no cell phone coverage. Plan accordingly.

This is a fun outing, not a teaching event. If you have never been to the creek, consider taking a Splitter Camp before going on this trip. A search for "splitter camp Indian Creek" will provide you with some options, and I would be happy to give more detailed advice with regards to what organization to choose offline.

You absolutely need to be able to lead 5.9 splitter cracks - there is nothing easier than that in the creek. It is ok to hang on gear or to have a group project, but it is not ok to expect others to put up the ropes up for you. So, if you are not up for leading 5.9 or harder, this trip is not for you.

If you are interested in joining (and have not received an invitation) please send a  climbing resume with your recent climbs  (last two years) to stefs67@gmail.com.
