Beginner Snowshoe - Source Lake

This is a relaxing day combing snowshoeing and photography. The destination is secondary to the photographic opportunities. We will take the time to share skills and techniques, while trekking through the lower sections from Alpental to Source Lake. Participants should know basic snowshoe skills.

Meeting place will be at the south end of the North Bend Safeway parking lot, at 7:30 AM. (From Hiway I-90, take Exit 31 into North Bend. Take a right at the light and a left into the Safeway parking lot.  Meeting location will be to the right).

We may be able to pre-carpool prior to North Bend.  Snow -Park permits may be required.  Drivers be prepared for winter driving conditions.

Easy Snowshoe/Photography outing.  Winter and/or wet conditions possible.  Safety will precede photographic opportunities, but photo opportunities will precede specific snowshoe destinations.  Meander along the basin, near the creeks, looking for fresh snow and photo ops.
