 Have your gear ready to go and laid out so we can view it from your phone or other devices.  We will be discussing gear, the route and the climb using maps and pictures.

I'll send the same form of an email that I would send before a climb.  You will have assignments!

EXPECTATIONS

So that we’re all on the same page, your participation on this trip implies acceptance of the following – That you will be an engaged and contributing teammate to the discussion, decisions, and actions going forward.  You all will have go-do actions and assignments.

All participants should be very familiar with the route. Look for information on the Mountaineers site, PeakBagger, Summit Post, Mountain Project, and Super Topo, WTA, and guide books.

  • Mountain boots that can accept crampons (not hiking boots)
  • Crampons (depending on conditions)
  • An ice axe (not technical ice tools)
  • A back pack (40 to 60 liters)
  • Webbing and accessory cords
  • 6 straight gate carabiners
  • 2 locking carabiners
  • Large pear-shaped carabiner
  • Belay device
  • Climbing harness
  • Helmet
  • Chock pick (nut tool)
  • Rescue pulley
  • Fleece or puffy jacket
  • Rain jacket and full-zip rain pants
  • Belay gloves
