This is a winter bikepacking experience so winter dispersed low impact camping is needed. There aren’t any bathrooms or fancy picnic tables but we can make our own snow palace with bikes! Plans to ride into Cooper Lake, setup camp off trail somewhere and away from snowmobiles, then go explore the hilltop and areas or whatever suits the group. Just looking to have fun and experience the winter wonderland.
Note that I will change the dates based on temperature and road conditions. It needs to be enough snow to camp and cold enough to also not cause impact from biking.
i will also be coordinating carpools since this is a permitted area and parking can be difficult.
While rated easy please contact me directly if new to camping or bikepacking. I’m open to all levels but want to ensure fun trip. Winter camping is a sport in itself in addition to biking so packing smart and staying warm etc are key aspects.
