LEADER WILL ARRANGE CARPOOLS MIN PARTICIPANTS: 4 We'll tool around the Paradise area, adjusting our itinarary based on weather, particapant interests and ambitions. LOANER SNOWSHOES AND POLES ARE AVAILABLE BY REQUEST. What gear do I need? Gear - necessary to own • Waterproof boots – a “winter” boot best, but hiking boots OK – (no low tops, high tops only) • Gaiters • Daypack • Waterproof raingear, top and bottom • Top and bottom synthetic or wool base layers • Warm upper layers synthetic or wool (fleece jacket, sweater, etc…) please don’t under-estimate winter; esp if you are a thin and petite woman • Hat and gloves or mitts (best) • HUThe 10 Essential SystemsUH (if you don’t know how to use a map & compass, omit) • Food and water for the day Gear – a REALLY good idea • A down or synthetic fill jacket or vest • Extra bottom layer – wool or synthetic pants Gear – If money is not an option • Thermos with hot drink • Kitchen sinks, thermo-nuclear reactors, etc….
