7:00 AM at Tacoma, details depending on geography of group
Please see the destination description for info on itinerary possibilities, pending conditions that day. This is an easy snowshoe trip at a slow pace – we will stay together as a group, going at the pace of the slowest person. If you haven’t been on one of my snowshoe trips before you must get in touch with me to finalize your registration – either email or phone is fine. It is important for me to know what everyone brings to the trip in terms of preparedness, training and experience. Winter weather is very unforgiving, however beautiful it can be. The goal for the day will be to get out in the snow, to revive old skills and practice new ones. We will be on the trail as well as doing some off-trail travel and if there is trail to be broken, everyone will get a chance to do that! The journey is more important than the destination. When registration closes the leader will send an email with last minute information and locations for us to meet along the way to facilitate whatever carpool arrangements you work out with each other as part of the sign up process. Contact the leader with any questions.
