8:00 AM at South Hill Park n Ride
This will be a slow paced winter snowshoe excursion in the beautiful Paradise, Mt. Rainier National Park area. We will go as slow as the slowest participant. Fast paced hikers may find this boring but are welcome to join in the fun. Dress warmly for winter conditions in the mountains. We will go rain, snow or shine. Duration of the trip will be what people are comfortable with but we would like to get at least a couple hours of snowshoeing. A change of clothes for the ride home is a good idea. Weather conditions may cause us to relocate to Longmire or another lower elevation area if the gate does not open. People driving to Paradise are required to carry chains and a shovel is always a good idea. Bring all ten essentials. If you don't have a map, don't buy one, we will print one up for each member. Meeting place: South Hill Park n Ride by Puyallup's South Hill Mall (entrance on 104th Street), just to make it clear. I'm usually parked at the far west side of the lot in a green Kia Sportage. Feel free to contact me with any questions - My hearing isn't great so emailing is best. remlec@yahoo.com Phone okay if there is no other option.
