LEADER WILL ARRANGE CARPOOLS Loaner snowshoes and poles available

What gear do I need?
Gear - necessary TO own.

• Waterproof boots – a “winter” boot best, but hiking boots OK – (no low tops, high only)
• Gaiters
• Daypack
• Waterproof rain gear (top and bottom)
• Base layer,synthetic or wool (top and bottom)
• Warm mid layer synthetic or wool (fleece jacket, sweater, etc…) please don’t under-estimate winter; esp if you are a thin or petite
• Hat and gloves or mitts are best
• Sun protection (part of 10 Essential Systems)
• Food and water for the day-extra is good idea
• A down or synthetic fill jacket or vest
• As many of the 10 essentials as you can
• Sit pad
• Thermos with hot drink
