Meet at Whittaker's Lodge in Ashford at 9 am. The lodge has expresso and light snacks. There, we will arrange to drive back to the fire station where the mtta, Mount Tahoma Trails Association, has their office. That will provide an opportunity to meet the volunteers who make the trail system possible.

From there we will head up the plowed road to The lower snoPark C (570832mE 5182782mN, the lower snopark where we will decide if conditions are favorable for us to snowshoe the Busywild route. If not, we can proceed farther and do the similar Copper Creek Hut route.

Maps are available on www.mtta.org. Complete driving directions are also on that site. The plowing is supported by the SnoPark program. SnoPark permits are required and available from the Washington State Parks web site. They can be printed out for immediate use.

If the weather cooperates, this should be a snowy, not a rainy, trip.
