Departing the Poulsbo Church of the Nazarene at 07:30. So shoot to be there at 07:15 to get everything loaded up. To locate the church of the Nazarene, simple Google it by its name.
We will also stop either at the Longhouse in Sequim along the way, or at the Olympic Bagel Shop on the 101.
The drop from Sunrise Point to the saddle between it and the rest of Sunrise Ridge provides steep ascent and descent skill challenge.
If you are skilled with an ice axe, have a shovel, and an avi burial probe, please bring them for use in training. We will dig a snow pit for snowpack evaluation.
Be ready for ugly weather to show up at a moments notice. As leader, I have found myself in a whiteout on this ridgeline, and when it cleared, I was only six inches from the ridgeline edge.
