Basic Snowshoe - Reflection Lakes

An easy, 6-mile snowshoe trip in Mount Rainier National Park with 900 feet of elevation gain. We will start at the scenic Narada Falls and turnaround at the peaceful Reflection Lakes.

9:00am at Longmire parking lot at Mount Rainier National Park (MRNP).  Other meeting locations to be determined depending on where participants live.

This will be a good trip for students or recent graduates of the Basic Snowshoe Course.  Students must successfully complete the Basic Snowshoe Course lecture and field trip before participating.  All branches are welcome.

All vehicles are required to carry tire chains when traveling in the park during the winter season (November 1 - May 1).  This requirement applies to all vehicles (including four-wheel drive), regardless of tire type or weather conditions.

The MRNP single vehicle entrance fee is $30, or you and all occupants of your vehicle can gain entry to the park by showing a  MRNP Annual Pass or one of the America the Beautiful - National Parks and Federal Recreation Lands Passes.

We will have a backup plan if the gate between Longmire and Paradise doesn't open.
