Basic Snowshoe - Reflection Lakes

Looks like a break in the weather. This trip should be good for photography. Leader will bring photo reflectors in white and gold for lighting interest. Leader likes navigation and GPS, so this is a good one to use nav skills. The way can be along the Stevens Canyon highway or over a ridge. We can do a loop. We'll probably carpool from the South Hill Park and Ride lot in Puyallup. Near intersection of 9th St. SW and 31st Ave SW near South Hill Mall.

Meeting at South Hill Park & Ride at 8 am. We will drive to Longmire where we can meet other drivers. Chains are still required in all vehicles, so be prepared. Also, there is an per car entry fee for the park. I have chains and a golden age passport and can take two riders. The chains are authorized for Subarus, so we could switch to another car that uses 225x16 tires and takes more passengers.

Unusual conditions? Hope not. The photography opportunities will work for phone cameras, point and shoots, and DSLRs. We can put sample photos up on the Mountaineers Facebook pages, or other spots.
