8:00 AM at Pratt/Granite Mtn trealhead
Actually, the plan is to round the Olallie Lake basin on the main trail to the Pratt Lake saddle at 3 3/4 mile from trailhead. Then follow the lake basin ridge west for about 1/4 to near the Pratt Mtn trail junction and drop down to Olallie Lake. Because of this variation, the total trip length will be 8 miles with 2300 ft gain, making the difficulty of the trip moderate, instead of easy as advertized. If clear, great views of Pratt Lake, Kaleetan and Chair Peaks to the north and Rainier from the saddle. For unassigned drivers and riders, we can still meet at the I-90 Exit 22 Preston park/ride about 7:15 am. I will coordinate on Friday, if necessary.
