Join us and bring in the New Year with a pleasant snow shoe trip to one of the Huts in the Mt Tahoma Hut system. Leaders will decide day of event which hut we will go to - depending on weather and road conditions. If there is no snow, we will hike! Huts have heat and stoves. Bring water and food! Summit treats to share appreciated! Bring slippers if you want your feet toasty warm in the hut! More info at: Huts are free and open to public. However, donation to the huts system are greatly appreciated! Note that all cars going to trail head need to have a snow park permit (a daily pass is available at the convenience store across from the Fire Hall for about $10 a car). Extra cars can be parked at the fire house. Also note that the best map for this area is the MTTA map - which is available at REI and at the office behind the Ashford Fire Hall or at Whitterkers. (cost about $8)
